I was hyped because I read the web novel before and the web novel was good but watching the anime felt lacking. the main point why shield hero good (at least the web novel version) is because character development was really well done. not just the shield hero but the other characters also developed well and with each interaction they influence each other. The first 4 episode of the anime.. In short the anime is a horrible adaptation of the source material even in season 1, the directors for season 1 and 2 thought they could do a better job than the author of shield hero and failed miserably.
