The 'B' engine was offered over the years in displacements of 350, 361, 383 and 400 cubic inches. The 383 'B" engine was an available option on most Chryslers musclecars of the late 60's and early 70's including Charger, Challenger, Road Runner, GTX, Super Bee and more. 383's were offered in both 2 barrel and 4 barrels versions.. In 1965, compression dropped to 9.2:1 to accommodate regular fuel in some models. In 1970, it dropped again to 8.7:1, and then finally to 8.5:1 in the last year of 1971.
