This is my very comprehensive write up on how to install a heated seat kit into a 2000 740iL. I am underway with this project swapping the interior from a 01 750il to a 01 740il.. My question has to do with the wiring for the power source. I have the complete wire harness for the rear seat functions and it has wires cut at one of the connectors at what I assume is on the car side.

I have not fully completed this install, however I have tested the wiring setup listed below and my seats heated up very nicely. Supplies I used:-2000 328ci BMW seats with factory heat and the body side plugs (plus a short length of wire).-Two rear seat heater switches from a BMW e38/e39. These are cheap in ebay..
