JAPAN Datsun 1200 starting in 1981 uses an internally-regulated Hitachi LR-135 alternator. North America Datsun starting 1978 also used 35A, 50A or 60A versions. All are wired the same way. My diagram has 3 wires connected to the alternator output stud. #1-red wire from GM alternator pigtail #2-10 gauge wire directly to the pigtail wire on the positive battery post #3-10 gauge wire running directly to the new fuse block that will be installed in the glove box.

Connect it to battery pos via fusible link. Regarding the main output wire: For 80A to 100A alternator use a 14 gauge fusible link from your local auto parts store. Use a 12 gauge wire for the ground ('E') wire. These are much larger than the 620 stock wires (good for 50A).
