My Ducellier alternator starting acting up so I took it to get repaired locally, apparently the regulator had gone bad. When I was removing it two wires broke off (a brown wire and a brown/yellow wire). Since they broke off at the base of the alternator I was unable to figure out which wire went where. I am a little confused by the wiring schematic and I want to make sure I re-install it.. I have a late spider / Milano "one wire" internal regulated alternator that I want to install in my '72 Super which has a odd (for the US anyway) Ducellier external regulated alternator. OK, here's my problem: The Ducellier has 3 separate wires: a red battery wire at the Bat+ connection, a green wire at the D+ connection , and a black wire at the DF connection. The new alternator (see photo.. However that alternator was actually original equipment on a 73/74 car and I was always on the look out for a Ducellier 7530A for a 1968 car. Why not? The 7530A was the first Ducellier alternator fitted to Ds after Citroen made the switch from generators in late 1967 and they continued in use until 1970. There was also a Paris-Rhone equivalent.
