Additionally, the new format divides the car diagrams into the different looms the car uses. All EFI Morgans have 3-4 wiring looms. REAR, CHASSIS, DASH and EFI. Morgan provides the first three, the engine manufacturer normally provides the EFI loom unless Morgan has altered it signficantly enough to require their own loom.. The electrical accessories and wiring in older cars, including Morgan, are wired following the British Standards BS-AU7 wiring code, which utilises a colour code system to identify wires as they emerge from the loom.
Morgan Motors sells +4, 4/4 ignition parts from Pertronix, Mallory, and Vanguard, Alternator kits and distributor, tune-up, kit, spark plugs, coils and points parts.. I will be replacing the wiring harness for a friend and am looking for a good diagram for a 1964 Plus 4, left hand drive, Triumph powered, 4 speed and has a toggle switch dash with separate switch for lighting. I have found some on line but would still appreciate any suggestions, particularly a high resolution image, ideally in color. Wishful thinking? He has ordered the Auto Sparks harness.
