Piezo Wiring Diagrams Putting electronic components into a cigar box guitar, and getting everything properly wired and connected, can be a daunting task for the first-timer - but it doesn't have to be.. This is the wiring I used on Wayne A's custom build. A Jazzy, Silky Smooth, Thinline acoustic with a Humbucker and an acoustic style bridge with an under saddle Piezo. The preamp uses a Trim pot to set the impedance based on the Piezo you choose. I also use "60's" wiring on the Tone pot for better signal to noise ratio.
The Neutrik-brand jacks we sell in our web store are selected specifically because they have a nice 9.5mm shaft-length, perfect for getting through a cigar box side with a minimum of gouging and thinning. Well, enough talk, let's get started! Diagram #1: Wiring a Piezo to a Jack. I am trying to build a HS guitar with a piezo pickup and i'm wondering how to wire it up. Specifically i wanted to use the fishman powerbridge and run it stereo through a top output jack and a side one. I'm wondering what all i need to do to wire it up. Any help is much appreciated, thanks.
