There are two steel cooling tubes, other than the two primary radiator hoses, which provide hot coolant to the heater core. These tubes seldomly need to be changed, but the hoses in front of the car are often overlooked. Is the 88 cooling system really that different than the 84 87s? in 84 87, there are 4 cooling pipes that go from front to back. two main ones that run under the sides of the car, and two smaller ones which connect to the heater core that run under the center of the body near the fuel.

OK, ive read every thread about the rad fan on the 84 with AC. ive seen the diagram of the location of the "4cyl Coolant Sensor Locations 84-87 Pontiac Fiero" as proviced by the fiero store. ive studied the schematic for the "coolant fan - two speed" from the haynes manual. there are clearly TWO coolant temperature switches on the 84 duke with AC.
