Wire Harness/Sensor Layout/Sensor Pinnouts I just decided to dedicate a section of this thread to whats needing to be done with the wiring. My goal is to update this post through the build so anyone looking at doing this swap can refer to this one post for every bit of the wiring that needs to be altered:. K20z3 VTEC Oil Pressure Switch.. - Run a Wire from ECU Pin A8 to the VTEC Solenoid - Run a Wire from ECU Pin C15 to one of the Pins in the VTEC Oil Pressure Switch (Green Plug in VTEC Solenoid) - Run a Wire from the other Pin in the VTEC Oil Pressure Switch to Ground - Run a Wire from ECU Pin D6 to the Knock Sensor (Located behind the Block, under Intake Runner 2)
On your engine harness, locate the VTEC oil pressure switch plug/wire (this wire comes from OBD1 ECU pin D6). Use a common T-tap or other method and simply tap this into the VTEC solenoid valve wire (the VTEC solenoid wire comes from OBD1 ECU pin A4). Do not cut the VTEC solenoid wire, simply connect the Vtec pressure switch wire to it.. In this video Foxi shows how to correctly wire the vtec pressure switch in an older Honda.
