How about an air compressor - 12 volts required! To use the AC outlet, you would need an adapter to convert 120v AC to 12v DC, and a cigarette style socket. Lots of accessories require 12 volts supplied by a round socket. I'm just stunned that they don't provide 12v power.. google "gmc sierra wireless charging problems" for possible fixes. 2004 Sierra 3500 dually, 6.0L extended cab, cab&chassis flatbed, upgraded to 4wd. just the 12v outlet giving me problems..
