Caution: Please do not place your fingers into the shredder in an attempt to fix the jam. You can switch to "Reverse" mode on the shredder. This will back up the paper and loosen the jam. You may have to pull some papers out of the shredder in order to clear the blades. After the jam is cleared, you can return back to "Auto/On" mode and resume shredding. Please refer to our trouble shooting.. The activation sensor of the shredder is located around the center of the feed entry. Insert a filing folder or any rigid sheet of cardstock (old greeting card, sheet torn from cereal box, or a couple index cards) directly into the center of the feed entry while applying force to help push the jammed paper through.
