For monitors that are covered by this three-year warranty policy, Touchstream Digital, Inc. Customer Service Center have the option to do one of the following: Repair and/or make good the defective product with new or remanufactured parts. Warranty Information We stand behind the quality of every monitor with a generous 3 years warranty. Within the warranty period, any AOC displays with manufacturing defects or faulty components will be repaired or replaced at no additional charge.

I think people just really don't know about the AOC policy. But AOC itself has a 0 dead pixel policy for 3 years from purchase. It doesn't matter if where you bought it has replacements for dead pixels or not. AOC will send you a replacement monitor before you have to send yours back. Their in house warranty was a huge reason I bought a 24g2.. My monitor fell off my desk and broke, but thankfully I'm still covered by the accidental damage warranty. The issue is, like all companies, it doesn't seem like AOC makes it very easy to claim that warranty.
