B&W are obviously good quality and being relatively new to the AV scene, I'd like some experienced views as to how well these particular speakers perform, compared to today's (somewhat entry level) bookshelf speakers such as the Cambridge Audio S30 or Wharfedale DIAMOND 10.1.. an ABSOLUTE best-buy for entry level systems, some complain they are too 'bright' but frankly, it's a B&W trait, some call it bright, some, detailed. i am actually slowly moving away from B&W toward Totem Acoustic for that reason, but that's because i'm starting to prefer musicality / feeling over acuracy / detail. lindsay701.
I've owned botht the B&W sets opf speakers and IMO both are as good as each other but the B&W 602 S3's are just that little bit smaller. They will both reproduce great bass as well as detailed midrange and crisp treble. They are big speakers though and will be best on decent stands that are mass loaded (i.e. Soundstyle Z2's/Atacama Nexus 5's or.. The 602 S2 is the closest B&W comes to a budget model.
