I was using a USB2 extension cord and suddenly G7 would not boot and the USB device was not recognized. After uninstalling the USB device in Device Manager as per the procedure After removing the extension cord and connecting the USB-C to USB-A cord originally included with this product directly to a USB3 port on the PC, the device was recognized.. So the gamepad is not working anymore on 2 different PC's (win11) and an Xbox one. on the 2 PC's its now beeing detected as a kind of disk drive with the name BR23UBOOT1.00 Last week it was working perfectly fine, and now even with the gamesir nexus app I can't do anything since it won't detect it.
If calibration and cleaning does not fix the issue this would indicate a faulty joystick. To fix this you will need to replace the joystick modules. For this follow the GameSir G7 SE Joystick Replacement guide. Parts Needed: GameSir G7 SE Joystick Module. Tools Required: Metal pry tool, Phillips screwdriver, TR6 screwdriver bit. Go to the tab (Xbox Peripherals) [if not shown, go to usb devices or port tab. Click on (Xbox Gaming Device) Click on Properties Click on the tab (driver) in properties Click on Disable Device Click on Uninstall Device. I had to Windows controller calibration before the gamesir was recognized and software saw it. Then did the in-app calibration.
