Quick update for Illustrator users about the new type align feature in Adobe Illustrator. We've been wanting this for years, and it's finally a reality!. With the release of Adobe Illustrator 24.3 at the end of August 2020 Adobe released a new feature titled Snap to Glyph. This feature "lets you snap your artwork components precisely with the text, without the need to create outlines or reference guides" as described directly by Adobe.

Keeping in theme with the other upgrades in 24.3, you can now differentiate whether to align to the em box or the actual glyph bounds..
