The battery status icon on the upper right of the screen gives information on battery life. The battery icons indicate the level of battery power remaining, and indicate if the battery is charging. Battery is 75% to 100% charged.. To check battery life on a TI-84 Plus, press "Mode," then "Alpha," and select "S" (the green key above "ln") to enter self-test mode. Choose option "3" for battery details. The calculator lacks a battery icon.

The way I do it on mine is by hitting "Mode" then "Alpha" then "S" (the green one above "ln"). This enters the self-test mode, then I hit "3" to select battery and it gives me the percentage. I have a Ti-84 Plus CE tho so idk if this works for everyone or not..
