Sometimes, a machine can be in an inconsistent registration state in Azure Active Directory. This can happen because: The machine was shut down during a long time, and the Azure AD device registration certificate is expired (located in Local Machine / Certificates / Personal); Someone manually deleted the device registration certificate; Someone manually deleted the device object in the Azure.. If you used a product key to get to Windows 10, then you'll need that key again after the hardware change. To find out how to locate your key, see Find your Windows product key. That did it. When I first pushed the cartridge it "clicked" and the levers came back out in the TwinDos compartment. However, after having pushed the levers (by hand) a couple of times I noticed that one of the slid back again, so I had to give the cartridge another push (and yet another click) to get it completely in place..
