We got a Jasper table a few weeks ago and are very much enjoying it. It is sturdy, and looks nice. Because it is self-assembly, we have found one.. I have a custom game table from them and I am definitely considering the Jasper as a second table. It looks like they've learned from their mistakes with the Duchess. I'm glad it's made entirely in the US if only because shipping from China, customs, etc will not be an issue. And the three-piece topper is a big plus.
The main board game tables guy was pretty transparent about the problems during the Duchess KS, and he seems to me to be the type who learns from mistakes. If I were in the market for another board game table, I'd get a Jasper without a second thought. Or I might even custom order a table from them.. The Jasper Gaming Table features a 3×5 foot playing area. For board gaming this is a perfect size. We haven't found a game that doesn't fit within the recessed playing area. Take Tekhenu: Obelisk of the Sun from Board and Dice, this game is a definite table hog with larger player mats, a massive game board, and cards and components.
