The CD6006 is a fine-tuned version with even more specially selected components and new layout circuit compared to its CD6005 predecessor. It incorporates reference-class technologies from Marantz's high-end CD players that provides wide dynamic range and wide frequency response along with lowest distortion for the utmost musical fidelity.. Awards dating back to the turn of the 21 st century attests to that - but nevertheless Marantz has gone ahead and fixed its 6000 series CD player every year regardless. This latest version, the CD6006, has undergone numerous changes from the 2015 Award-winning CD6005 - not least a price hike to £400 from the outgoing machine's £330.
Here is my review of the Marantz CD6006 CD player. This series has been replaced by the CD6007 (which costs about $600). It is a standard CD player with analog, digital and telephone outputs.
