Well our Atlas is in the shop again for this warning light. Warning light says, "Trans. in emergency mode. You can continue to drive." Ordered a new part and going to replace the entire shift mechanism to try to fix the light!! They have been trying to figure the light out by process of elimination/guessing for the last 2 months!. Since getting our Tiguan back we have been riddled with the "transmission in emergency mode: safe to drive" and "do not exit the vehicle until in park" warnings while travelling between 80-105kph. We have also been riddled with a problem with it entering EPC mode. The car hiccups,stutters, mis-shifts. Runs like poop otherwise when in EPC.
