Might have talked my way into a Vulcan Omnipro 220. Reviews online seem legit.. our brand new Lincoln- only because we had to keep sending the pile of crap back to get worked on- so we bought the vulcan and haven't had a problem with it at all. solid piece of equipment for the price.. Soul7ak3er • and yes it has 2 plugs for it to plug.. The Vulcan OMNIPRO 220 is a "multiprocess" welder, so does it work in stick or TIG mode? Hello, Our shop recently purchased the Omnipro 220 and have had good luck with it except I can't seem to get the TIG to work the way it should. I called Harbor Freight and tried all of their suggestions. Nothing seemed to help so they advised I return it for a replacement. Got the replacement and I am still having the same issue. We purchased the optional foot pedal too.. Having some difficulty stick welding with my new Omnipro 220. Not getting a continuous arc. Arcs for about 3 seconds and no more arc. After a few times the welder shuts off. I'm welding 3/8" mild C-channel steel. I've tried both 3/32 and 5/32 7018 rods. Surface areas have ground to clean metal. I.
