In conclusion, the ending of "Dawn of the Dead" (2004) remains a powerful and thought-provoking conclusion to a gripping zombie film that challenges viewers to reflect on the themes of hope, resilience, and the human capacity for survival in the face of unimaginable horrors.. The ending was quite ambiguous. We see Ana, Kenneth, Terry, Nicole, and Chips run out of food and water, arrive on a island, where Chips runs off, and then get swarmed by zombies. Snyder kinda left it up to debate as to what happened, so I just want to see what you guys think happened. My guess if that they died, cause there's way too much zombies for them to kill, but what do you guys think?
The 2004 Dawn of the Dead remake reinvigorated the zombie subgenre and helped solidify director Zack Snyder and writer James Gunn as true players in genre filmmaking. But we're here to talk about that ending. Or to be more specific, that post-credit scene that blows the ending up in the bloodiest way possible.. Dawn of the Dead 2004 was always one of my favorite zombie movies. I don't know what it is, but they really hit the nail on the head with getting the feeling of society falling apart. It reminds me of the first season of Walking Dead. I think it was implied that they all died at the end. The island was over run and they were on the dock.
