Their husbands died during the construction of the retractable roof of the Miller Park baseball stadium in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The defendants were Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America, Inc. (MHIA) and others2 involved in the construction. At the conclusion of the trial, the jury found that MHIA had acted "in an intentional disregard of the rights. A Circuit Court jury in Milwaukee, Wisconsin awarded $99.25m damages in the Miller Park accident trial and found Mitsubishi Heavy Industries of America 97% negligent, writes Kenneth Lamke. The jury found Lampson International only 3% negligent and decided all contract disputes between Mitsubishi and Lampson in Lampson's favour. That means, according to Lampson attorney Don Carlson, that.

The catastrophic collapse of Big Blue on the Milwaukee Brewers baseball stadium retractable roof project (Miller Park) could well be the most awesome lift accident of all time. The mishap happened whilst the crane, a Lampson Transi-Lift III, was setting a 190 ft × 130 ft × 12 ft open truss panel roof section weighing close to 500 tons at a load radius and lift height of 155 ft and 230 ft.. During the construction of Miller Park, a crane collapsed and three workers died. Knott Laboratory's forensic structural engineers determined that excessive winds and contractor negligence contributed to the accident. Our engineers and animators used photographs and video of the crane to determine the movement of the load prior to the collapse.
