My issue was switching sim 1 and sim 2 around. Thank you so much! This random grudge thing is some kind of glitch in the last update which is sooo annoying. It's happening to all my sims.. Otherwise you have to just wait for it to go away, and avoid Wolfgang in the meantime as best you can. If you look at the Festering Grudge sentiment in the profile for Wolfgang, you'll be able to see the timer in there -- how filled-up with red the circle is -- it empties out bit by bit and then it disappears.
